She began teaching in 1971, in Austria, then returned "States-side" to earn her Masters in Studio Art, from UAlbany. She taught at the University for a year, then married, had a baby, renovated a downtown Albany townhouse and began working, designing rehabs through the Community Development Program. Nancy's love for architecture and the full emersion in neighborhood improvement projects led her to a second Master's degree from RPI's Urban and Environmental Studies Program. After almost 10 years of City and County government work, she left her position as Albany County Senior Planner to return to teaching, which she finds the most difficult, yet rewarding work ever.
